Stuart Feurstein knew at a young age that he was interested in the medical field and was good at working with his hands. When he was in high school and college, he spent a lot of time in the office of his dentist, who was also a friend of the family. “I didn’t know much about dentistry, but I watched as he put his patients at ease with his kind manner,” Dr. Feurstein says. “The work he did really changed people’s lives and inspired me to want to do the same.” After graduation from Columbia University, where he earned a degree in chemical engineering, Dr. Feurstein attended the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. He graduated with a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1985.
